Tang Hong Lee was born in Pahang, Malaysia in 1963. He received his Diploma in Art from Kuala Lumpur College of Art in 1986. He then continued his studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts(visual art) in printmaking from Canberra Institute of Arts, Australia. A life-long artist, he has been exhibiting regulary for the past 18 years.
His recent works are semi-abstractions that reflect philosophical and theoretical ideas about art and life. Nature and the natural world greatly influence his imagery and approach to painting and teaching.
His works are in many private and corporate collections in Malaysia, Singapore and abroad such as Bank Negara, Maybank, Hong Leong Bank, Silterra Malaysia, The Mandarin Oriental Hotel, Star Cruise, Kallang Development Singapore etc.
